Dettol has unveiled a three-month promotional campaign dubbed ‘Dettol Win a Home’ which will offer consumers a chance to join the rare league of Kenyans who own houses in the larger Nairobi region.
Four, two bedroom houses along Mombasa road will be up for grabs during the promo. The campaign is aimed at rewarding Dettol’s loyal customers for trusting and staying true to the pioneer antibacterial brand that has been used by countless generations in Kenya.
Speaking during the launch of the promotional campaign, RB (formerly Reckitt Benckiser) East Africa Country Manager Richard Pereira said; “Our company vision is a world where people are healthier and live better. Our purpose is to make a difference by giving people innovative solutions for healthier lives and happier homes. Generations of Kenyans have trusted Dettol and through this initiative we would like to offer our loyal consumers the unique opportunity of owning their own home while at the same time bringing to life our purpose of offering solutions for healthier lives and happier homes.”
To stand a chance of winning, consumers can purchase any Dettol soap or liquid hand wash, scratch the promo sticker and send the unique code via SMS to 32299. The consumer will receive an entry notification SMS confirming their participation in the monthly draws and ultimately the grand draw.
Mr. Pereira said the company, through its flagship brand Dettol has placed a strategic focus on development of health and hygiene programs throughout the year.
“Besides this consumer promotion, Dettol will continue to invest in health and hygiene promotion across the country by partnering with the national government, local governments as well as like-minded non-profit organizations,” he said.
In its quest to support the country’s Vision 2030 of a healthier nation, Dettol has through the years implemented school programs that focused on teaching children when and how to wash their hands with soap and water.
Through this, the company has reached over 1,500,000 children. The company also has programs that reach out to new mothers, educating them about good health and hygiene practices. Besides this the company has in the recent past also supported the implementation of health and hygiene facilities in Turkana through its “Be a Hero for Turkana” campaign raising funds through the support of its loyal consumers.
