With this partnership, individuals living in the US, Canada,
and Europe will be able to transfer small values to Airtel Kenya customers in
the form of airtime minutes, without fees and from over 175,000 retail
locations and web sites.
The partnership will provide the over three million Kenyan
expatriates with access to instant International Mobile Top Up (IMTU) service
through Prepay Nation’s distribution network.
IMTU is becoming a preferred method of family support for
immigrants around the world, who are able to utilize the widespread penetration
of mobile phone infrastructure to send support to their loved ones back home,
without the high cost of sending money.
