Emirates,
a global connector of people and places, is celebrating the introduction of the
second Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Nairobi-Dubai route with a special fare
offer for Kenyans.
In
February this year Emirates announced that it will switch from the current
Airbus A330-200 aircraft used on one of the two daily services to a larger
Boeing 777-300 ER from 1 May 2015.
“To
celebrate and mark this milestone of our services to Kenya, Emirates is
offering its First, Business and Economy Class customers from Nairobi, special
fares to selected destinations. For example our Kenyan travellers can travel to
Dubai from Nairobi for Economy Class fares starting from as low as $474 for a
return ticket,” said Anita Kongson, Emirates Country Manager for Kenya.
The
promotion runs over a 17-day period starting Monday, April 13 to April 30, for
travel between May 1 and August 7, 2015.
Some
of the other destinations included in this offer are Mumbai from $491 for an
Economy Class return ticket, Geneva from $625, Amsterdam from $731, Bangkok
from $743, Shanghai from $814, London from $890, Hong Kong from $1037, New York
from $1090, and Washington from $1090.
Business
class fares start from $1496 for a return ticket to Dubai, Mumbai from $1323,
Geneva from $1771, Amsterdam from $1677, Bangkok from $1669, Shanghai from
$3082, London from $2450, Hong Kong from $1863, New York from $3300, and
Washington from $3300.
First
class fares start from $2096 to Dubai, Mumbai from $2123, Geneva from $2671,
Amsterdam from $2577, Bangkok from $2469, Shanghai from $3882, London from
$3250, Hong Kong from $2663, New York from $4100, and Washington from
$4100.
All the above fares are inclusive of
taxes and other charges; quoted on a return basis, with a minimum stay of three
days and a maximum stay of four months for business and economy passenger and
12 moths for first class passengers. Blackout dates between July 4th and
July 26th will apply to all the above destinations.
Customers
will be able to book through Emirates office located on the 8th floor
of 9 West Building along Ring Road Westlands; Emirates website; or their
preferred travel agents.
The
introduction of a Boeing 777-300ER will boost capacity on the route by 1638
seats a week, and make Nairobi an all-Boeing 777 operation for Emirates.
The Emirates Boeing
777-300ER will offer 354 seats in a three-class configuration, with eight luxurious
private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 304
spacious seats in Economy Class.
All
three cabins are equipped with Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system
with more than 2,000 channels of on-demand entertainment to choose from,
including movies, television programmes, games, audio books and music from
across the world. As with all Emirates flights, passengers enjoy gourmet
cuisine and the famous service by our multi-national cabin crew, as well as the
extra generous baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business
Class and 50kg in First Class.
Emirates
EK 719 departs Dubai at 1045hrs and arrives in Nairobi at 1445hrs, while the
return flight, EK 720, departs Nairobi at 1640hrs and arrives in Dubai at
2240hrs. The second daily flight from Dubai, EK 721, leaves Dubai at 1610hrs
and arrives in Nairobi at 2010hrs. The return flight EK 722 departs Nairobi at
2250hrs and arrives the next day in Dubai at 0450hrs.
