The insurance for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is designed to
cover against theft or accidental damage. Accidental damage means physical
damage or destruction caused by an accident. The insurance cover is an addition
to the default one-year warranty from Apple upon purchase of an iPhone and any
Apple accessories contained in the original packaging.
Airtel has also announced that it will offer unique data plans to
customers who purchase the new devices from Airtel outlets. Customers who buy
the 16GB which goes for Ksh85, 999 or the 64GB iPhone 6 that costs Ksh95, 999
will get a 3GB data per month for 3 months. Customers who purchase the 16GB at
Kshs95, 999 or 64GB iPhone 6 Plus at Ksh105, 999 will get 4GB data per month
for 4 months.
While announcing the offers, Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi
said that the insurance plan will ease customers lives as they will be assured
that they will have their handsets replaced once lost, stolen or
accidental damaged.
Mr. El Youssefi further said; “Besides the competitive pricing and
unique data offers, the device insurance offer by Airtel provides
our customers with safety and security of their devices and the peace of mind
while they use their iPhone device powered by Airtel's quality network in
Kenya”.
Phone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are available at the following Airtel
shops in the country: Parkside shop, Sarit Centre shop, Koinange shop, Moi
Avenue shop, Mombasa Moi Avenue shop, Nyali shop, Galleria, Lavington, Village
Market, Nyeri shop and Eldoret Shop.
