Microsoft Mobile Devices has today delivered on the promise of
optimized productivity for smartphone users with the introduction of the new
range of Lumia phones comprising Lumia 640, Lumia 640XL and the most affordable
device, the Lumia 430 Dual SIM.
The
new Lumia devices were launched under the banner of a new consumer campaign
dubbed #AchieveMore, which seeks to inspire users to increase their
productivity by doing more with their Lumia phones, whether at work or at home.

The
Lumia 640 and 640XL become the latest LTE / 4G smart devices to join the Lumia
portfolio in Kenya and will retail at Kshs 19,999 and Kshs 25,750 respectively.
Speaking
at the launch, Mariam Abdullahi, Microsoft General Manager for East Africa
said, “People around the world have responded enthusiastically to our
affordable Lumia range. We continue to invest in this segment to ensure that as
many consumers as possible can enjoy signature Microsoft experiences,
regardless of budget.”
Lumia
640 and 640XL offers more personal computing and increased productivity through
seamlessly integrated Microsoft Office experiences which comes with one year
free subscription, OneDrive storage and fast 4G connectivity. Both devices will
upgrade to and benefit from Windows 10 as it becomes available later this year.
With
the Lumia 640 and 640XL, you can smoothly and quickly access important
documents or run all of your favorite websites, apps and games, thanks to the
on-board 1GB of memory and powerful quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
You can also view photos and watch videos on a crisp 5.7” HD display on both
devices as you capture detail rich photos even in low light, thanks to the 13
MP camera on the Lumia 640 XL with LED flash and an 8 MP camera on the Lumia
640, also with an LED flash.

with a dual-core CPU running at 1.2GHz. This is by far the most affordably
priced Lumia and will retail at only Kshs 8,850.
The
device comes preloaded with Microsoft Office, Skype and OneDrive and is
designed to help you #AchieveMore at work, at play and on the go. It also
features a compact, durable and colorful design with a vivid 4-inch WVGA
display that brings all the latest apps, games and videos to life.

Lumia 430, you can instantly #AchieveMore every day, and use Microsoft
Office and Outlook for work and personal productivity. You can also access up
to 30 GB of free cloud storage on OneDrive for safekeeping important content,
experience the fun of video calls with Skype-integrated calling and a
front-facing camera.

Lumia 430 Dual SIM continues our commitment to combining the right hardware,

And
as Microsoft unveiled this new range of devices, the #AchieveMore campaign,
a national consumer promotion was also launched to reward customers with five
Chevrolet Cruze cars and 40 Lumia 640 XL devices to be won over the promotion period.
To
participate in the consumer campaign, all you need to do is purchase any Lumia
phone with a valid 12 months warranty in Kenya activate it and send a text
message containing IMEI number to 22860 during the program period.
