Kim-Fay to build new production facility at Tatu Industrial Park

Kim-Fay East Africa Ltd, the Nairobi-based manufacturer and distributor of market leading personal care, hygiene, health and nutrition brands across East Africa, yesterday announced that it will relocate its operations to Tatu Industrial Park.

On a 10-acre site, Kim-Fay will build its new corporate headquarters, as well as manufacturing, distribution and warehousing facilities. Kim-Fay’s move to Tatu Industrial Park is expected to be completed within the next two years.

“Kim-Fay manufactures and distributes a variety of market leading brands including Huggies, Fay, Kleenex, Kotex, Clorox, Lucky Star, Bio-Oil amongst others. We believe in helping you & your family enjoy a healthy & hygienic lifestyle. We do this by embracing the very latest global trends and tailoring them so as to provide localized products that are affordable & convenient. Today and in the future we will only provide brands that 'Uplift' the lives of Kenyans in a positive way. That’s what drives us.” said Kim-Fay Sales & Marketing Director Hartaj Bains.

“Kim-Fay’s move to Tatu Industrial Park is a sign of our confidence in and commitment to the Kenyan and East African markets, and it perfectly positions Kim-Fay for further growth and expansion.”
Welcoming the move by Kim-Fay to establish headquarters at Tatu Industrial Park, Chris Barron, Tatu City’s Chief Operations Officer, commented, “We are tremendously excited to welcome a market leader like Kim-Fay to Tatu Industrial Park, which is located within easy proximity to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Thika Highway and the Northern and Eastern Bypasses, giving Kim-Fay seamless access to Kenya, East Africa and the world.”

Tatu City, a 2,500-acre mixed-use and mixed-income urban development near Nairobi, will be home to an estimated 70,000 residents and 30,000 day visitors. Backed by U.S. and other international investment, Tatu City will ease the burdens of urbanisation on central Nairobi. Over the 20-year lifetime of the investment, Tatu City will create tens of thousands of jobs for Kenyans.

Located on the edge of Tatu City, Tatu Industrial Park provides a world-class light industrial zone, which includes power, water, sewerage and industrial-grade paved roads to plots of varying sizes.
